Hey everyone! So it’s been a couple of weeks since the Pittsburgh show, but the photos are finally here! Hope you enjoy ‘em :)
Now, I have some ideas that I’d like to run by you all. One is Fanson Friday. I’m thinking that “fan photos” and “you might be a fanson if…” would be alternating topics. So say this Friday features fan photos, the next Friday will be a post discussing a trait typical to that of a fanson. You will receive credit for your photo(s)/topic if they are featured.
However, one post a week will not be sufficient. While I would like to update regularly with news about the beloved band, Hansonews already does a great job of that. So I’m trying to find other means to distinguish this blog from theirs. If there is anything you would like to see here that is not done on the other blog, do let me know. I am open to all suggestions.
Lastly, I’d like to mention a possible project that’s not blog-related nor was it my idea. I’ve seen a few posts on hnet and some discussion on twitter, but from what I can gather, nothing has been done about it yet. So how would you all feel about “Flash Mob Day”? We’d have flash mobs take place all over the country on one given day, and perhaps notify a local news station about it. Think about it-- news stations all over the United States doing a report on a Hanson flash mob on the same day. How cool would that be? I know that we’d need plenty of ambitious people who are willing to organize a flash mob in their region, but if I know one thing about fansons is that there is plenty of dedication out there :)
Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Leave a comment or send me an e-mail. Looking forward to hearing from you!

REFRESH!
There is one word that has been echoing in the minds of Fansons for the last couple of months, and that word is REFRESH! When "'Thinking 'Bout Somethin'" first premiered on MySpace, Zac had challenged us to increase the view count to a certain amount by a given deadline. Watching this video scared many of us into doing so (Note to self: Do not get on Zac's bad side), but truth be told we actually enjoyed doing it. And we're still refreshing, this time to increase the video's ranking on VH1's Top 20 Countdown.
But wait! It gets better.
We now have a song about refreshing! It was promised a few months back and now, finally, it was put on their website. Sit back, have a listen, and don't forget to REFRESH the TBS video.
Even if you've seen it before, you should see it one more time.

Hanson revival in 2010?
I must say, it is quite possible. I know I have been lacking on the blog updates, but here is a summary of what's been happening in Hanson World lately.
T.V. Appearances. They have performed on The Morning Show, David Letterman, Jay Leno, The Today Show, and George Lopez.
"Thinking 'Bout Somethin'" views on MySpace are nearing two million. That's right. Two million. It was the #1 video on the site for a solid week and though it has dropped a little since then, they are still dominating the Indie chart.
Flash mobs around the U.S. It all started last week when the brothers went on Lopez Tonight. A few dozen fans were with them in LA and organized a couple flash mobs, that took place at different locations in the city. Rumor has it that the flash mobs will become a regular part of the tour so don't be surprised if you see something that looks like this in your city.
Now, last but not least:
Shout It Out was released last week! And things are looking good for the guys. I don't want to jinx it but there seems to be a reasonable chance they will be in top 40 of Billboard's Top 200, and most definitely in the top 3 on the Billboard's Indie chart. These guys have put so much work into promoting this album, they deserve to be on top once again.

Free concert in the comfort of your own home
That's right, you read it correctly. A free concert without leaving your desk. Hanson is performing at the 5 of 5 Bamboozle show this week and have taken it upon themselves to livestream their shows so that fans all over the world can join in the experience. It's pretty spiffy if I do say so myself.
Tune in tonight at 8PM EST to watch them perform all of their songs from Underneath. Tomorrow night is a similar concept where they will play songs from The Walk, and Friday night when they premiere the Shout It Out LP. It will be a great chance to experience a Hanson show, if you haven't already.
So tonight at 8:00, be there or be square.
Feel the wind brushing slowly by
If I could soar I'd try to take these wings and fly
Away to where the leaves turn red
But no matter where I am instead
Singing along to feeling alright
Or making it by under pink moonlight
It's always Penny and me tonight.

I've been thinking 'bout something...
other than you!
Every kiss-off song needs cowbell and brass. And Weird Al with a tambourine. News of Hanson's newest single "Thinking 'Bout Something" is all over the internet. The song made it's debut last week on AOL and has since been mentioned by Lime Wire Music Blog, NY Mag, MTV, Perez Hilton, and many others.
A little less than 45 hours ago, Hanson premiered the music video on MySpace and has since received well over 250,000 views.
For once people outside of the Hanson fanbase are aware of their amazing music, and they are receiving a ton of positive feedback. I have a feeling that this is going to be big year for the brothers.
